There's no Halloween in Portugal!! :(

this is a shity truth, on Halloween night the portuguese people don't do anything. Just a few people celebrate it and its so hard to find good stores for that.

We have Carnaval like the brasilien but even that tradition is dying here.
I usually make my own costumes wich means spending a lot of money, but that's the only way here, you almost can't find simple things on sale like masks or fake blood.

this year I sadly didn't celebrate it. I was too busy doing a paper for college.

I was so sad. I still am, everyone in America is having fun with Halloween but me!

Hello lj,

sorry for the absence but since I entered university everything around me changed.

I'm now living in a rented room in Coimbra were I study and live for the week and on the weekends I come home to visit my parents, boyfriend and friends. I can't say I'm a happy cookie right now, because being away is really hard. I miss Lisbon most of the times and my boyfriend. I also miss my sweet pets.

University is being fun tho, I don't need to wake up too early or anything and the classes are interesting. my favorites so far are History of the arts and Construction of filmic image, the other ones are good too but these ones are the best.

It's really different being encharged of yourself this way, I lived on my own once but I don't remember being like this. I guess it was because I was living with someone else.

I have some photos to upload, they'll come soon.

I guess that's it for now...

Just to let you know...

I killed my red hair. x_x
I'm a brunette now...

Being a pennyless student doesn't give me exactly the life to be coloring my hair every other month, so I dyed it the color more aproximate to my own and I'll just let it grow away.

that's life.

Vagos Open Air 2009

was awesome.

We left early, it was about 10h00 a.m. and we still had sleepy eyes. We stopped after an hour's drive to eat a second breakfast. This is us looking excited. lol
We left from Barreiro/Lisbon and Vagos is about three hours drive, because is up north.

When we got to Vagos the place resembled a medieval village, it was really cool, and this house was so cute. Catia said it reminded her of the hobbites' houses.

We're up to some mischief, hehe.

The first thing we did was trying to find a restaurant to eat lunch but the village seemed almost deserted, it was actually weird because there were cars everywhere due to the festival, but no people from Vagos.

Finally we found a restaurant that was pratically full, but didn't have an ATM or anything of the sort, so the guys had to walk almost a mile to the nearest ATM and back again...

THE BANDS

Dark Tranquility

Cynic

After these pictures we went crazy and just enjoyed the good metal that was playing. Besides these, we saw:

Amon Amarth
Dawn of Tears

I believe that was all.

My boyfriend and Catia's boyfriend Ciro wanted to meet Cynic and somehow we managed to spend some time with them, talking and taking a few pictures.

But not everything was fun and joy. On the way back home we were going even more up north instead of going south to lisbon, and when we stopped to put gasoline the thing that shows how full the tank is was broken, so we didn't know how much we had.
So we started going south and had to stop for a couple of hours beacuse Ciro who was driving was feeling sleepy, and so we did. After that we got again on the road but got lost. Wonderful!
And even after that we ran out of gasoline. We had to call road assistance.
We got home it was like 8h00 a.m.

LOL! but it was a really good time.

Christie_is_red

Hurray!
I had a picture of me all dressed in red, against a red wall that I have on my bedroom, but I kept coming out looking like ass on the damn pictures that I preferred to do something more simple... If I wasn't in such a bad "face" day my idea would have made you smile.

Hope you like it Christie, my friend in the wonderful lj world :3
I swear, next year it's going to be a better picture!

the rest of you my loves don't be jealous, I intend to do it on your birthdays to! It is going to be fun for me to find out something that really represents you and put it in a photo.

Much love from Europe, Lisbon!
Hope you like what you see.*

...

I haven't done much these last few days...
I've been trying to get a job but things are just too hard back here to get one only for part-time. Or full-time for that matter. There's just no openings.

I'm tired of being around the house with nothing to do but go to coffe shops, go out at night and eat out. Don't get me wrong it's great to do nothing but from time to time of course, and I have two months to go yet to find out which college accepted me.

I'm going insane...

Please expect a decent post soon.**

sorry, no lj cut. :(

This past sunday I went to a Horse fair just for the fun of it, I'm actually a bit scared of horses because when I was younger I fell off of one and when it completed the circle it was making it jumped over me. But I was okay... petrified but okay.

This was the place were they kept the horses up for adoption, others for selling and others were there to rest between shows. They all seemed really well taken care of, and the acomodations looked great. If you're a horse, that is.

This one was the most sweet, I couldn't bring myself to stop petting him. He would eat out of my hand and everything, just adorable. A cross breed between an Andalúzia which is a tipical portuguese horse and a Spanish one (I really don't remember).

This one was beautiful, but didn't care much for me...

My favorite show was the Romans, where the care takers and the horses were dressed as (you guessed it) romans with chariots, and they would fight with battle ready weapons. It was spectacular.

But my camera is retarded and the photos came out looking like ass. I have only these 2.

The guy in the black chariot was hooot. But he looked more like a viking than a roman.
And this is the red chariot, or most of what was left of it after the battle:

That is ALL!

Sweet baby Jesus!
I just found out:

Marilyn Manson did a Remix with the Lady gaga, of her song "Love game".
It's pretty disgusting, and his voice sounds really out of place, it's overall disturbing and flat out weird.

Thanks to Lj friend Capta1ncunt who shares my love of Mister Manson, I got to know this crime in music... and I don't have the words to describe it. he has been increasingly getting further away from what I consider to be his best.
 Just watch it yourself...

I passed my exams!!!!
Hurray!

I found out yesterday that my exams were good and today I found out that my average is a 14 out of 20, which is very good! I'm so very excited and oh so happy!!

I will be going to the University this year!!! yes!!

I shall have a few drinks today to comemorate the happening. :p

The teather play went perfectly!!
Since we're only teather students our plays don't stay long in exibition, but it was great while it lasted. We are going to do another one next year, but the students that are really good at it are invited for plays that stay on for a month, with real actors and everything.

I'm still waiting for some photos that I took with my class backstage and on stage, I'll post them for you to get an idea of how was the play.

for now, this is me after the play and after a few congratulative drinks:

I really look like I'm ready to fall on my bed. It was a combination of being really tired from doing the play (which suprisingly is a tiring job) the stress of not knowing the grades of the exams yet, and the adition on 2 vodkas with lemon, five beers and lord knows what ( I can't recall anything else after the 5th beer) made me look just like that.

Here is a peek of what might have been my vision that night:

A sorry attempt of taking a photo of my, also very drunk, friend Cátia.
I have a paste full of similar attempts. The only thing I remember was us laughing like little girls and the flash blinding us every single time...

ho well, more photos to come.***

damn the exams

Every year since I was 15 I worked on summers, at the age of 16 to 19 I worked all around the year to keep a house of my own.
Family problems made me leave the house at that time. I had to stop studying, because it was just too much for me working and keeping a house, the hours were insane. I got a little behind on my studies, but I'm back again studying and I'm preparing myself for something I always wanted; University.
My parents were very diferent people a few years ago, but they are completely cool now. Actually they are helping me with the money for the classes.
I've been in a lot of anxiety lately, because I just did my exams and the results only comes out on the 7th this month, it's a week from now but I'm dying! I feel like I've already lost so much time, and I'm 21 now... and I want to get a job, but not just now because I might need to go and repeat an exam and I want all the time in the world to study.
By this time I would be working, but there's so much at stake that I prefer to go poor than loose the oportunity of repeating an exam I really need and get stuck on 12ºgrade another year instead of moving on.

the Crowd loves You

As I told before I'm in teather school, and this month is sort of our end of the year, and we always do a play at those times. Truth be told we just have one month of vacations and then we start again, the semesters are a little weird because it's kind of a private school that I'm attending besides my regular one were I'm studying foreing languages, so please excuse me if I get one or two words wrong, I'm still learning. :p

This one we are rehearsing is a story stopped in time and space and the characters are always repeating the previous days without any remembrance of it. It has several sketches in the middle comtemplating life and death, which I'm really loving, and a final parody of those same subjects in the end.

I took a photo of the hilarious poses of my classmates, and our teacher in the middle of it; she's the blond one.

They're rehearsing the final part of the play, the parody of life and death.
We were all laughing out loud because that was the first time it was being done and the text wasn't even memorated.

This is Caroline, a girl from another class, we are more advanced but we needed someone younger to play a young boy and she is the best of her class. She is also very adorable.

She has already performed in many plays and is considered to be a young star in the teather world. She is considering on going to television which would be a loss, but that's with her... I would never do that.

Sushi!

So yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to our favorite japanese restaurant, the Kioto House which makes the best sushi I ever tasted in my life. And I've tasted several... Actually sushi is to be eaten with the hands but it's a very fancy restaurant and people already do their share of staring at our clothes, my boyfriends long hair, and what nots that I really didn't want more of their uneducated attention. This plate is half eaten, I couldn't stop myself before taking a picture. lol

So, my dearest wanted to see the new Transformers movie. Let me tell you that it is a bore. The only good thing about Transformers were the ones we saw when we were kids. I sereosly almost fell asslep at the movie teather...

After the movie we went out for a few drinks (in addition to the wine already ingested at dinner) and this was the result:

A narcisistic attack.
Be careful, my giant forehead is going to kill you.

When is it enough?

In the late hours of the night I tend to think about in all the things that I wanted or want to do in my life. I usually get out of bet and start drawing or painting something that will be a possible real work of mine, but as normally, I am drunk the time I hit the pillow so all the sensless, unmaginable stuff pops to my head and those kind of things transcend directly to my works... I once dreamt I was being fucked by Marilyn Manson and I was in fact holding his head in my left hand. There was blood everywhere, but even with his head decepated he kept on moaning. Nedless to say I have a painting of such an erotic fictional event. Speacking of the devil, I bought his first book "Long hard road out of hell" from a scotish guy on Amazon, it's in english but I'm comfortable with the language as you can see, and there isn't a single copy in this world in my own language so... in less than a week I've read like the entire book. And it has changed my entire vision of the guy. Really...! Still adore him as a musician tho.

Well, I am now trying to make up my mind as it to increase my tattoed wings or just to leave it at that. If any of you have any ideas please do tell, I don't want to do something gigantic but I don't know if I'm done with them. My tattoo artist said this was the right size for me...

Here is a photo to give you an idea.

Please don't freack out with my waist size, I'm a tight lacer, so it is normal for me to have a tiny waist. I've been one since I turned 19 and stopped for a while, now I just do it from time to time. My boyfriend hates it and considers it to be a torture and actually, ugly.

I don't pay much attention to it because I'm not stupid and I'm not going to lace myself to death!

Presenting:

                                                The Hammie Orbe!

I breed several kinds of rats for sale on a pet shop owned by a friend of mine. She doesn't believe in that factory made pets, like puppy mills and stuff like that. We get most of those animals from the street, vacine them and put them up for adoption at her shop. I'm thinking about starting breeding my frogs but it takes a lot of work, and my house is already infested with animals.

These are hammies, that's what people buy the most. In second comes the gerbil, then the morganho, and at the bottom the rat. I love to breed and take care of them.

by the way, downloading photos for the lj is a major pain in the ass!
